The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health published a paper on the Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative (GHVI), titledA Comprehensive Approach to Motorcycle-Related Head Injury Prevention: Experiences from the field in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Uganda.The paper was a collaboration between AIP Foundationand the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including Greig Craft, Truong Van Bui, Mirjam Sidik, Danielle Moore, David J. Ederer, Erin M. Parker, Michael F. Ballesteros and David A. Sleet. It focuses on GHVI’s five geared approach to increase helmet use in Vietnam, Cambodia and Uganda.

The GHVI initiative was established by AIP Foundation in collaboration with FIA Foundation and the World Bank to put a helmet on every head in the Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011-2020).
