On April 7 at the Chevron Thailand offices in Bangkok, Ms. Pornsuree Konanta, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., represented Chevron Thailand in presenting a financial contribution of THB 2,000,000 to AIP Foundation. The donation was received by Ms. Mirjam Sidik, Chief Executive Officer of AIP Foundation, in support of the eighth phase of the Chevron Street Wise program for 2026. The project aims to enhance travel safety for youth in Songkhla Province.
The project will be implemented in 11 target schools located in Muang Songkhla District and Singhanakhon District through teacher training programs, the development of e-books, and a variety of educational activities designed to foster a sustainable road safety culture both within schools and throughout surrounding communities.
Chevron has continuously supported the Chevron Street Wise program since 2014 with the objective of effectively promoting road safety awareness among Thai youth. According to the latest survey conducted in July 2025, helmet-wearing rates among students in project areas increased to 50.8%, while 86.4% of primary school students demonstrated good to very good knowledge of safe pedestrian practices. These results reflect the project’s tangible impact in improving knowledge and encouraging safer behaviors among students, teachers, and communities. Over the past decade, the project has also helped equip more than 30,000 youths, parents, teachers, and community members with essential knowledge and skills for safer road use.
