For the past 10 years, AIP Foundation has been advancing safe, equitable, and sustainable mobility in Songkhla province, Thailand, through the Chevron Street Wise program. We are proud to collaborate with Chevron Thailand in the shared goal of reducing injuries and fatalities by 50% by 2030, in alignment with the targets set under the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.

The AIP Foundation Thailand team was honoured to participate in the first Chevron Partners Meeting of 2026, convened on February 19 in Songkhla province. The annual gathering provided an important platform for partner organisations to align on strategic directions, reflect on achievements, and strengthen collaboration for the year ahead.

The meeting brought together Chevron’s project partners – SKL NARIT, ASA CAT, P2H, AIP Foundation, and PERIN PSU – who each delivered comprehensive presentations highlighting key achievements from 2025. Each organisation was allocated 30 minutes, followed by discussion sessions that encouraged open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and shared learning.

During the session, Chevron outlined its strategic directions for 2026, emphasising systematic data collection to guide evidence-based interventions and ensure measurable, sustainable outcomes. AIP Foundation presented its 2025 successes, including program milestones, community engagement outcomes, and lessons learned from implementation. The team also shared its 2026 activity plans and support needs, reinforcing its commitment to delivering sustainable road safety interventions that benefit children, schools, and surrounding communities.

Advancing safer mobility through the Chevron Street Wise program in Thailand

Since 2014, Chevron Thailand has partnered with AIP Foundation to implement the Chevron Street Wise program, working to build a safer road environment for all users – particularly young children – through comprehensive education initiatives, awareness-raising campaigns, and strong stakeholder and community engagement.

Throughout the program’s implementation, more than 8,000 students have strengthened their road safety knowledge and practical skills, while approximately 1.5 million parents, teachers, and community members have benefited from road safety education and communication activities. Central to the program’s approach is youth engagement, empowering young people to become advocates for safer roads within their communities and equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to contribute to safer, more sustainable mobility for all.
