The British Embassy and Consulate General in Vietnam launched a new road safety awareness campaign called #KnowSafetyNoAccidents that focuses on safe motorcycle driving for tourists and expatriates living in Vietnam. Held at the Early Years Campus of the British International School in Ho Chi Minh City and with over 70 people in attendance, the launch event was the first of many programs that aim at educating British citizens and the public about motorcycle hazards and safety.

AIP Foundation CEO Mirjam Sidik was one of the panelists invited to speak about motorcycle safety in Vietnam and the challenges around driving them. On the panel, Mirjam discussed recent awareness campaigns done by AIP Foundation, their successes, and their challenges. Furthermore, she answered questions regarding road safety in Vietnam. Alongside her on the panel were doctors from Cho Ray Hospital and Family Medical Practice as well as motorcycle shop owners, a road crash victim, and a representative of the National Traffic Safety Committee. After the event, Mirjam demonstrated how to wear a helmet correctly for attendees and rated their helmets based on safety standards.
